MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Investigators with the Memphis Fire Department are trying to figure out what caused an overnight house fire in Cordova.

The fire started around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at a house in the 8900 block of Morning Grove Cove near Walnut Grove and Forest Hill-Irene.

Firefighters say the fire started in the attic and caused extensive fire, water and smoke damage to the home’s interior.

Everyone inside was able to get out safely and none of the firefighters suffered any injuries.

Investigators say they hope to release more information about what caused the fire later today.
