MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person was killed and another person was shot Wednesday afternoon in Frayser.

Officers were called to the scene in the 1900 block of The Oaks Avenue around 1:15 p.m.

A man and a woman were found with gunshot wounds, police said.

The woman died on the scene, police said.

The male victim, a 29-year-old, is in critical condition but expected to survive.

Police originally said there was a third victim shot, found in a location further down the road, but now it is unclear how he got hurt. That victim is not in critical condition.

Police have detained one person and are looking for three suspects in a dark-maroon SUV.
