Dylann Roof to represent self in Charleston murder trial

CHARLESTON, S.C. — A federal judge has granted Dylann Roof’s motion to represent himself, according to CNN affiliates.

Roof is charged with shooting nine people to death at the Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina, in June 2015.

Jury selection in the federal trial is scheduled to resume today.
