CHARLESTON, Tenn — Dylann Roof is competent to stand trial on multiple counts of murder, a federal judge ruled Friday.

Roof is accused of shooting nine people to death at the Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina, in June 2015.

Jury selection in the federal trial is scheduled to resume on November 28.
