Man indicted for stabbing woman, throwing her body in neighbor’s yard

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man has been indicted after stabbing a woman to death and then throwing her body over a fence into a neighbor’s yard.

Darrius Anderson was indicted on second-degree murder charges.

The incident happened in July 2016. According to authorities, paramedics discovered 28-year-old Ashley Kimes dead in Anderson’s neighbor’s yard. She had been stabbed multiple times.

When officers arrived at Anderson’s home, there was blood on the floor. He asked officers to tell his family “this was an act of revenge.”

The victim reportedly had a falling out with Anderson prior to her death.
