Grocery store in the works for Binghampton

frozen food aisle recall

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One of the city’s food desert is finally getting a grocery store.

For years, the Binghampton neighborhood has been without a place for residents to get fresh food, but WREG just confirmed that builders will break ground on the Binghampton Gateway Center in the next couple of weeks.

Developers said the commercial development at Tillman and Sam Cooper will be anchored by a brand new Save-A-Lot store and a Dollar Tree.

An exact opening date has not been released.
