Driver killed after losing control, driving into traffic

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A driver is dead after a crash on South Perkins Road.

It happened around 9 p.m. Friday near the 3400 block of South Perkins.

Police said Thomas Glover, 50, was going southbound on South Perkins when he lost control of his vehicle and drove into northbound traffic.

He hit two cars and died at the scene, police said.

The driver of one of the cars he hit went to Regional Medical Center in noncritical condition, but the driver and passenger in the other car he hit were OK, police said.

Police said there were two passengers in Glover's vehicle, and they both walked away before investigators got to the scene.

Police later found them, and one was taken to the hospital.
