Memphis police search for flasher in Binghampton

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Police are searching for a man they say exposed himself to a pedestrian in Binghampton.

A woman reported walking in broad daylight on Merton Street when she noticed a car parked alongside the road.

She said the driver pulled up to her and asked for directions, but then, things took a turn for the worst.

After the victim told the man where to go, she said she started walking away. Then he pulled up to her again to clarify what she just told him.

But when she looked at him this time, she told police he was fully exposed.

She ran and called for help, but police haven't been able to catch him since the incident on Saturday.

"I wouldn't want him to flash me," said neighbor Mary Ellen Hanser. "I don't like that. I mean, I just don't. We've got a lot of kids in the neighborhood."

The driver was reported to be in a white sedan with Mississippi tags.
