Memphis feeding those in need on Thanksgiving

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Thanksgiving holiday will be here soon, and you have the chance to help some Memphians in need have a better holiday.

The 32nd annual Memphis Thanksgiving Dinner for the Homeless & Hungry will be held at the Cook Convention Center on Thanksgiving morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It’s a chance for the city, local businesses and citizens to come together to provide a traditional holiday meal to the neediest in our community.

There will be support agencies and church counselors on hand, along with health care workers.

Your help is needed too. Donations of new clothing and new packaged toys can be dropped off at any Royal Furniture store now or at the Cook Convention Center on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Monetary donations are welcome, too. Plus, you can volunteer to serve Thanksgiving day.
