NASHVILLE, TN — A Nashville cat may have used one of its nine lives.

Firefighters were called to a condo complex in the Inglewood neighborhood Tuesday afternoon when someone heard a cat crying for help.

They found an orange cat stuck in a drain pipe.

It turns out the cat somehow got into a rain gutter on the third story and fell all the way to the ground and became stuck.

Eventually, the cat was rescued.

His name?

Turns out it’s Thomas Jefferson which is fitting on this election day.
