MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- "The right parent catch him, he's not going to make it to 201 Poplar."

WREG spoke to some parents who didn't mind telling us they`re glad police got Robert Vail.

"Gives me a lot of relief, because I was looking for him myself."

On Friday, WREG showed the very first pictures and videos of the man that fit the description for an accused predator targeting teenage girls in Frayser. By the weekend, the man was identified as Vail.

Police said they convinced him to turn himself in on Monday.

"I`m glad because I have kids, and I had stopped letting them come up here since dude was running around doing that to kids," said Derrick Strong.

Vail was accused of fondling at least two girls in Frayser last week, according to police.

One of those encounters took place in a Kroger parking lot, and kept parents on edge until they received news of Vail`s arrest.

Vail has a long criminal history dating back to 2005, according to Shelby County court records.

The most recent arrest was in September for marijuana possession.
