2 teens struck in hit-and-run outside Fairley High School

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two 14-year-olds were hit by a car Wednesday afternoon.

It happened shortly before 4 p.m. in the 4900 block of Fairley Road, outside Fairley High School.

They were hit by a silver Chevy Malibu with drive-out tags, police said.

The driver, believed to also be a teen, left the scene, police said.

Police originally said the two victims were taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital but later said they were actually still on the scene.

No word on how they're doing at this time.
