Dozens of retailers closed on Thanksgiving, more expected to join the list

NEW YORK — Some big retailers have announced they’ll be closing their doors come Thanksgiving Day, with more expected to join the list.

Brent Shelton of FatWallet told NBC News to date 45 stores including Staples, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Nordstrom and REI will all be hanging up their closed signs.

“We expect about a dozen more to follow suit,” he said.

The following stores have already confirmed they’ll be closed on Turkey Day:
