ARLINGTON, Mass. -- The dramatic rescue of a woman from her sinking SUV was caught on camera.

The incident happened Friday morning in Arlington.

Police said the 68-year-old woman was trying to back into a parking spot when she drove over a curb, sending the car into a nearby pond.

As the vehicle slowly sank, a man jumped in and began swimming towards it yelling "You've got to come out!"

The SUV then slipped below the surface and the man yelled "I've lost her."

Suddenly the woman breached the surface as another bystander dove into the water to help.

Police said the woman was safely pulled from the water and taken to the hospital.

She was treated for mild hypothermia.
