Men indicted for robberies of armored trucks and gas station

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men have been indicted on federal charges or robbing an armored truck and a gas station.

According to an indictment,  Cornelius Richmond and Roderick Herron robbed the Circle K on North Germantown Parkway on April 20.

Three days later, police say they robbed A Brink’s armored truck on Austin Peay Highway.

Both men are charged with two counts of robbery affecting interstate commerce, and one count of having a gun during a crime of violence.

Richmond is also charged with felony possession of a gun.

A third man, James Edward Lacey Jr. has been indicted on a charge of robbery affecting interstate commerce for a robbery of a Dunbar armored car at the Summer Avenue MLGW office August 18.

He’s also charged with felony possession of a gun.
