MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A fire in the 5080 block of Wooddale put six adults and 10 children out of their home.

The Red Cross is helping those 16 people, Memphis Fire said.

It happened around 10 p.m. Saturday.

Memphis Fire determined the blaze started from faulty wiring in the storage closet.

The home did not have a working smoke detector, Memphis Fire said.

The building suffered $55,000 of damage and $20,000 of its contents were damaged, but luckily no one was hurt, Memphis Fire said.
