Paxton Lynch to make first NFL start Sunday for Broncos vs. Falcons
Former Memphis Tigers quarterback Paxton Lynch is set to have his first NFL start Sunday, NFL.com reported.
Lynch, a first-round pick in the 2016 draft, made his NFL debut last weekend for the Denver Broncos when starting quarterback Trevor Siemian left the game with an injury to his left shoulder.
NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport tweeted Siemian’s shoulder “isn’t there yet,” so Lynch will start Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Lynch played well last week after he took the field late in the second quarter, completing 14 of 24 passes for 170 yards and one touchdown.
