MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A Memphis man has been charged with the death of a man at a Memphis motel.

Carlton Snipes, 22, was found shot to death in a bed at the Americas Best Value Inn at 3875 American Way October 6.

Another man was found shot.

Police saw two men on camera leave in a 2003 Dodge Ram truck.

The owner of the truck said his step-son Joshua Winters had been driving the truck at the time.

The man who was shot and survived identified Winters.

Memphis Police said Winters turned himself in and admitted he was there, but said the other man was the shooter.

Winters reportedly told police the men were there for a drug sale.
