Man shot, two others terrorized during home invasion in South Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police are looking for two men who forced their way inside a home in South Memphis this morning and shot a man.

It happened at around 3 a.m. in the 1600 block of Rayner St. near Person Ave.

Police say two men rushed inside the home, forced two men and a woman to get on the floor and took their money.

Investigators say they shot one of the victims multiple times before leaving.

A neighbor said he heard the shots and saw two men get into a car, but didn’t get a good look at their faces or their getaway vehicle.

The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

So far, police have not released a description of the suspects.
