OAKLAND, NE — A Nebraska woman who received 500 roses on her last day of chemo for breast cancer is doing well.

Brad Bousquet surprised his wife Alissa as she wrapped up what she called ‘bad chemo.’

In a Facebook post he wrote, “She has amazed me with her strength, courage, and positive attitude through it all. She still has a few surgeries ahead of her but completing chemotherapy is huge milestone in her journey. I wanted to do something special during this last treatment to celebrate the end of her chemo and to show her the tremendous love and support she has.”

More than 170 families purchased each rose for $10 with the profit going to the Susan G Komen Foundation.

Alissa was overwhelmed repeatedly saying, “Holy moly!”

Today, Alissa is doing well.

She is still receiving medication and has several surgeries scheduled.
