MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- More than 800 police body cameras are now in operation across the city of Memphis.

All but two of the Memphis Police Department's precincts have body cameras.

The Memphis Police Department had a full deployment date of Nov. 15 to have the department outfitted.

In September, cameras were already up and running at the Crump, Airways and Raines locations.

MPD is now working on getting Tillman Station equipped with body cameras; the department has four more days to hit its target date for that precinct.

Appling Farms Station is expected to get body cameras between Oct. 10 and Oct. 15.

Traffic and Special Operations/Organized Crime Unit are then scheduled to get body cameras once all the precincts have them.
