MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police have arrested two men in connection with a shooting that injured in a child in Frayser.

22-year-old Eric Payton and 25-year-old Rommell Turner will be arraigned Monday on aggravated assault and reckless endangerment charges.

Police say both men fired shots during an argument at the Ridgecrest Apartments on Range Line Road just before noon on Sunday.

A child was struck in the wrist by one of the bullets. He was taken to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in non-critical condition.

According to the affidavit, Payton admitted to investigators that he fired one shot at Turner during the altercation.

Police say Turner refused to cooperate with detectives.
