Jewelry store robbery suspects released without charges

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The three people taken into custody Sunday in connection with a robbery have been released without charges, police said.

The robbery happened around 1 p.m. Sunday at REEDS Jewelers at Wolfchase Galleria.

Police said a man armed with a hammer took several watches.

Multiple law enforcement officers followed the suspect, who was in a car with the two other suspects, along I-40 and Highway 385 before taking the three into custody.

Police did not elaborate on why they were released.

The case is still under investigation.
