Voters encouraged to update address with Election Commission

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Shelby County Election Commission is urging voters to update their addresses if they recently moved.

“On Election Day, if you come to vote at the precinct shown on our website’s “Where Do I Vote?” tab, unless you have changed your address with SCEC, results will reflect the polling place where you used to vote, not the one you must vote at based on your new address,” Linda Phillips, the administrator of Elections said. “You’ll be directed to a different polling location. This will not only inconvenience you, but also the voters in line behind you.”

All change of address forms must be submitted by November 3.

You can also change your address during early voting.
