Robertson County fugitive killed by police in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A man is dead after he broke into a senior citizen’s home in Nashville.
Sandy Duke allegedly broke into the man’s home, tied him up, and then stole several items including weapons and the man’s vehicle.
Metro Nashville Police were able to trace Duke down using a stolen cellphone.
When they responded to his location, Duke allegedly came out with a weapon drawn, forcing officers to fire.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.
According to WTVF, Duke was wanted on numerous charges including aggravated burglary, forgery, theft, worthless checks, harassment, protection order violation.
He’s also been convicted of numerous crimes including aggravated kidnapping, theft of property, robbery and aggravated burglary.
