MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Parents of students at Corning Achievement Elementary School are on edge after receiving a warning about stranger danger near campus.
The school is on Dabbs Avenue in Frayser.
A letter sent home with students said two students were approached by a stranger on Corning Avenue while walking to school.
They ran home to safety and were not hurt.
The letter continued by saying the safety of students is their top priority.
Corning said they are working with Memphis Police to increase patrols in the area at arrival and dismissal times.
Teachers will walk students to the crossing guard each day, and the school will work with the city to have brush which blocks the view to school grounds removed.
