Neighborhood brawl lands two behind bars

MEMPHIS, Tenn. --  All Saints Presbyterian Church created its community garden at Jefferson and Claybrook to give people in the Midtown neighborhood a place to grow vegetables, barbecue or just hang out.

On Sunday, the little park was anything but peaceful.

Police were called after a man and woman got into a brawl that we were told involved a beer bottle, brick, several knives and a fence post.

Takaso Richardson admitted to throwing a beer bottle at Earl Jackson which left a four-inch gash in his forehead.

Investigators said he found back, hitting her with a brick.

When officers arrived on the scene, Jackson was holding two knives and bleeding.

Richardson had a 3-foot fence post in her hand.

Police said both were taken into custody, but wouldn't say what started the nasty brawl.
