Scuffle over bacon leads to man being pepper sprayed, arrested


MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A scuffle over bacon resulted in a man being pepper sprayed and arrested at a local Save A Lot.

According to police, security at the store approached Drinon Watkins after spotting a bulge underneath his shirt.

Watkins was told to lift his shirt,  and that’s when they discovered he had stuffed two packs of bacon down his pants.

As they were trying to take him into custody, a scuffle broke out resulting in the suspect being wrestled to the ground.

Still resisting, police pepper sprayed Watkins.

The suspect was taken to the hospital to be treated and then 201 Poplar for booking.
