TBI: Man places ‘active device’ in nursing home employee’s car
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has updated its Top Ten Most Wanted list to include a man from Franklin.
Mitchell Oakes is wanted on charges of attempted first-degree murder.
On Sunday, Oakes allegedly went to a nursing home and placed an active device inside an employee’s car.
The suspect is a convicted felon with extensive knowledge of bomb making and weapons.
He also has a violent history and is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
Authorities said he is also wanted on unrelated charges out of Virginia.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to his arrest.
