MEMPHIS, Tenn . — There are two more cases of stolen weave.

Memphis Police are looking for the women who stole thousands of dollars worth of hair from two beauty shops in southeast Memphis.

The first theft happened Tuesday at Industry Locs Hair on East Shelby Drive.

Two women came into the business and asked to buy Peruvian hair weave, but when they got the hair, they took it and ran away without paying, police said.

The stolen hair is valued at $1,355, police said.

The most recent incident was caught on camera Wednesday at the Wigs Beauty Depot in the 4700 block of Riverdale Road.

Police said five women walked in to the Wigs Beauty Depot and grabbed 34 bags of hair, worth over $900 in total. Police released surveillance photos of the thieves.

Police said the women were possibly driving a teal Toyota Corolla with drive-out tags.

Investigators believe this is the second time the suspects stole hair from this business.
