Man robbed, beaten during meeting with escort

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people were arrested, accused of beating and robbing a man who thought he was meeting an escort for sex.

Memphis Police said the victim contacted Alana Wigley through Backpage.com and arranged to meet her at the Value Inn in the 5700 block of Shelby Oaks.

He admitted to authorities he said he would pay her $200 in exchange for sex.

Once at the hotel, the victim told police Wigley’s boyfriend, Barron Eddings, banged on the door and then attacked him once he got inside.

His iPhone 6 and several credit cards were also stolen.

Wigley was arrested the following day at the same motel and allegedly confessed to her role in the crime.
