Husband of missing woman charged in separate case

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police arrested Randall Freeman on arson charges Wednesday.

Freeman, 31, is the husband of Keila Freeman, who has not been seen since Monday night, police said. Police are investigating her disappearance.

The arson charge comes from a house fire that happened Sunday in the 7400 block of Germanshire Lane.

Firefighters said the house was engulfed in flames while five family members were inside. They all got out safely, police said.

According to the affidavit, security video shows a van pull up to the house and man get out. He appears to light a flammable substance and throw it into a window of the house.

Police said the arson case is not related to the missing person case.

Freeman was charged with aggravated arson and will appear in court Thursday.
