Two suspects at large following overnight attempted carjacking

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two suspects are at large after an attempted carjacking in the 2100 block of Central Avenue.

The incident happened early Monday morning.

According to the victims, they were sitting in their car when three men approached them.

One of the suspects picked up a brick and began banging on the passenger’s side window, shattering it.

Another suspect pulled out a gun and pointed it at the people inside the car.

In fear for his life, the driver put the vehicle into reverse and began driving away.

All three suspects began chasing the car, attempting to open the door.

It was at the point, an officer, having seen the commotion, pulled up with his sirens flashing and the suspects took off running.

A juvenile was caught and taken into custody.

The other two suspects were last seen running eastbound on York towards Meda.
