Reward offered to help solve 15 y/o’s murder

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Memphis Police are asking for the public's help in the murder of 15-year-old Charderious "CJ" Fennell.

On August 27, a group looking to rent a home in the 4100 block of Meadow Creek Road discovered Fennell's body.

He had reportedly been shot multiple times.

Police said they do not have any leads at this time and need the public's help.

"I don't have anybody talking about what happened, who's responsible or any information concerning this young man. this kid is 15-years-old. That could have been my child. That could have been your child," said Homicide Detective Nino Frias.

Fennell's aunt spoke to WREG on the phone.

She said he lived with his 25-year-old sister not far from where his body was found.

His mom died three years ago, and his younger siblings looked up to him.

They are all having a hard time grasping what happened.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
