Boy’s dying wish to become a police officer is fulfilled
WILMINGTON, Del. — The dying wish of a 5-year-old boy has been fulfilled.
Angel Zamora was granted his wish by the Make-A-Wish foundation.
For one day, he was an official member of the New Castle County Police Department.
Angel has an inoperable brain tumor according to WTFX-TV.
He was diagnosed in February.
His mother, Sandra Gutierrez, said, “The type of cancer he has, they don’t live over a year. But every day we’re making it special for him. Every day’s a blessing.”
New Castle County Police Col. E.M. Setting said, “When we wake up in the morning, we want to do something good. This was something good.”
