MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Police are searching for the suspect responsible for killing a 33-year-old man in Cordova.

The victim's father discovered his son dead in bed early this morning, covered in blood.

The incident happened inside a home on Mikayla Lane.

Authorities were told the victim had not been seen by his father since Wednesday even though they both live inside the home.

Detectives initially thought it might be suicide, but said now the case is being investigated as a homicide.

They couldn't find a weapon or the victim's SUV.

Investigators have questioned the man's father which they said is standard procedure since he discovered the body.

At this time, they are seeking out the victim's girlfriend.

Authorities also said there's no signs of forcible entry at the home.
