MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The little pug dognapped at gunpoint from a dogwalker on Friday was returned.

The owner contacted WREG early Saturday morning with the good news.

On Friday a woman was walking Nick in the downtown area when a man approached her with a gun, grabbed her phone and then demanded she hand over the dog.

The family quickly called Memphis Police and alerted the media to the incident.

At some point, they were contacted by someone about the dog.

Late Friday night, the owner met with a woman at the Whitehaven Walmart.

They gave her a reward, retrieved the dog, and left.

MPD posted photos of people of interest but has not yet made any arrests.

They were just happy to have their little boy home.
