20-year-old in hospital after overnight shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police responded to a call about a shooting at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police did not locate any victim or crime scene at the location in the 3100 block of Summer Avenue but were advised by Regional Medical Center that a shooting victim had arrived at the hospital from that area.

The victim was a 20-year-old with noncritical injuries, police said.

The victim had gone to Regional Medical Center in a private vehicle after being shot, police said.

Police are investigating. No one is in custody at this time.
