DENVER, Colo. — Car insurance may go up for drivers because of moving violations, but how much it goes up varies from state to state.

A recent study from insurancequotes.com found the highest rate increases came in North Carolina while the lowest were in New York.

The most expensive infractions nationally are DUI, followed by reckless driving.

The least expensive include not wearing a seat belt and driving without a license.
