MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Sophomore Paxton Lynch ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more as the Tigers had a school record-tying seven rushing TD’s in a 63-0 blowout win over Austin Peay, the Tigers first season-opening win since 2004.

Lynch had 276 yards of total offense and seven different Tigers found the endzone.

The U of M defense also dominated, holding the Governors to just 146 yards of total offense and 1 of 13 3rd down conversions.

The 63 points, the 5th most in school history and the most scored by a Memphis team since 1969 when it scored 69.

Tigers head to 7th-ranked UCLA next Saturday night.
