FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Two southbound bridges over I-65 in Franklin are closed and one will be torn down this weekend after a tanker truck hit them this morning and exploded around 4 a.m.

TDOT crews will work around the clock this weekend to tear down one of the bridges, which was just built,  because it is no longer safe.

The other bridge will likely be closed for three months while it is reinforced.

The driver of a truck belonging to Edwards Oil Company was killed.
