BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Wal-Mart is testing medical clinics in five stores in Texas and South Carolina and more are on the way.

There are some clinics that currently rent space at Wal-Mart stores.

The company however says the clinics they own offer more services.

Anyone can use the clinics for about $40 per visit while employees who have the Wal-Mart insurance plan would pay only $4.

Specific services offered by the clinics are:

  • Wellness and preventive care, such as health screenings, vaccinations and lab testing
  • Basic acute care, including diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, such as flu and strep
  • Management of certain chronic conditions, such as diabetes, asthma and high blood pressure; with referrals to specialists as needed

Walmart pays their employees the bare bones and they think the rest of America will go to them for health care….. that is laughable.
