MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Police are searching for two men who robbed a Frayser convenience store late Thursday night and pistol whipped the clerk .

Police say two masked gunmen forced their way inside the Delta Express on Overton Crossing, tied up the clerk and another person, and took a large amount of cash from the register and a safe.

They also fired at least one shot inside the store and hit the clerk over the head with one of their guns.

Friday, there was still some blood on the floor behind the counter.

"When I cam in this morning I wondered what was going on," said Aloyce Nyamdwi.

Nyamdwi said he also noticed that someone had kicked in a door behind the counter.

Police haven't said how much money was taken, but said the clerk was not seriously hurt.

There are cameras all over the convenience store and employees are hoping it helps police find the people responsible.
