Overnight shooting on Airways leaves man dead

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man is dead after an overnight shooting outside an Orange Mound business.

Police say the 41-year-old victim was shot around 1:45 a.m. Monday in the 1800  block of Airways Blvd. between Park and Lamar.

Officers say the victim was lying in the street when they arrived. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

So far, police haven’t identified any suspects.

They’re asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.

      Are you talking about the Third World city named Memphis?
      Surely the Shelby County can nab the shooter, I hadn’t heard of deputies leaving to go to departments out of state because of the poor leadership.

    Another fine, outstanding neighborhood in Memphis. Stories like this and memphis wonders why so many are leaving for Mississippi. Almost sounds like what is going on in Iraq the good people are running for their lives while the animals kill everything else.
