MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Over the next week, we plan to talk with the superintendents of local school districts to see if they're prepared for the new school year and what parents and students need to know.

It's the first year for suburban schools and we're getting you ready with information from all the new districts today and all next week.

First up, we're talking with Collierville Superintendent John Aitken who told us his district is ready to go.

Aitken told us a school bus contract may not be signed but routes are planned and buses will be rolling on the first day of school.
