Hit-and-run driver wanted for deadly crash

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A hit-and-run driver is wanted for causing a deadly crash the afternoon of July 3.

Police say at about 4:30 p.m., a stolen silver 1995 Lincoln Town Car went through a stop sign while going westbound on Edgeware at Bishops Bridge.

It hit a maroon 2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse, whose driver was injured and later died.

The car thief ran from the scene and was described as a man in his 20s, about 5’8″ and 130 lbs. He was wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts, and a white baseball cap with a dark bill.

The Town Car had been stolen from 3237 Winchester.
