DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A man who beat up his son’s accused rapist says he would have gone further had his son not stopped him.

“My immediate feeling was to kill him so he will never hurt anyone again,” said the victim’s father.

The man said he walked in on Raymond Frolander, 18, assaulting his 11-year-old son.

“I just walked in and found a grown man molesting [my son]… and I got him in a bloody puddle for you right now officer,” the father said on the 911 call.

Frolander allegedly admitted to the ongoing sexual abuse, saying ‘I’m guilty.,” according to CNN. He claimed he had been abused as a child.

“My son saved Raymond. Raymond was motionless on our floor, I went to the kitchen to grab a butcher knife and my son stopped me. My son came in front of me and saved his attacker’s life,” he said.

Police say Frolander admitted to assaulting the victim for three years.

Frolander faces a charge of sexual battery of a child and is being held without bond.

According to news reports, Frolander is living with the victim’s mother next door. Also, Frolander’s former stepmother is reportedly engaged to the victim’s father.

The father of the victim has raised eyebrows after creating an account on a crowd funding site, using his son’s picture and asking for donations.

It was not clear where those donations would go or how they would be used.

The police chief told The Daytona Beach News-Journal, “You don’t go out and exploit what happened to this young man (the son) for money.”
