MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A loaded gun was found in a passenger’s carry-on bag at Memphis International Airport.

Authorities tells us that TSA alerted airport police and took possession of a .40 caliber Smith and Wesson hand gun.

The passenger was arrested and charged Sunday.

While firearms may be transported in checked bags, they are prohibited in carry-on bags.

TSA spokesperson Mark Howell told us, “Passengers are responsible for the contents of bags they bring to the checkpoint.”

“Our advice is to look through bags thoroughly before coming to the airport to make sure there are no illegal or prohibited items.”

This is the eleventh firearm discovered at a security checkpoint by TSA officers at MEM this year.

A total of 18 firearms were found at MEM checkpoints in 2013.

Why are the TSA losers? Because the found a loaded gun? You make no sense, unless you are the loser who tried to bring a loaded gun on an airplane.

What a coincidence, the same day new TSA fees get introduced and they have a great interdiction to report about. Now when anyone complains about the fees being jacked up they’ll just point to this story to justify it.

Did you actually read the whole story about the fee hike and where 75% of the money is going….which is not back to the TSA.
