MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Pasta Boat claims to make perfect pasta in the microwave with no mess or fuss.

We put it to the test with Luis Partridge who, along with his family, loves pasta.

The Pasta Boat comes with the microwave pasta boat, straining lid, steam rack, recipe book and instructions.

Luis opened the thin spaghetti box and dumped all of it into the pasta boat.

He poured water over the pasta and filled it to the level 4 water line, which the instructions called for, then it was off to the microwave for 18 to 20 minutes.

Luis thought that did not seem like much of a time saver.

The taste test resulted in a failure for the Pasta Boat.

Luis felt the pasta was unevenly cooked and the Pasta Boat did not make cooking pasta any easier.
