CLEVELAND, Ohio. — Sports Illustrated is reporting LeBron James is headed back to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

James is quoted as saying, “When I left Cleveland, I was on a mission. I was seeking championships, and we won two. But Miami already knew that feeling. Our city hasn’t had that feeling in a long, long, long time. My goal is still to win as many titles as possible, no question. But what’s most important for me is bringing one trophy back to Northeast Ohio.”

James broke a lot of hearts in Cleveland when he left in 2010.

At the time, Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert wrote that infamous letter about the player’s decision.

In it, Gilbert said LeBron deserted the region, and he criticized all the build-up to his announcement that he was headed to the Miami Heat.

WJW-TV reports the letter has been posted on the Cavaliers’ website ever since — until news over the past week blew up about James possibly coming back to Cleveland. That letter was taken down from the Cavaliers’ web site.
